Adjusting to the Colder Weather

100-story challenge, Day 5

I don’t know why, but colder weather bothers me more than hot weather does

The weather has turned cold in Kansas. Even that is relative. It's 45 degrees today, and that is as high as it will get. In late December I will call that a warm day, but for now, it's cold to me anyway. The weatherman says there is a chance of some snow tomorrow. Not much, but it will be a colder day.

I am a hot-weather person. Last summer I was getting up early to do my outdoor activities before it got too hot. Even a hot-weather person like me struggles when it's 100 degrees. But I managed.

The cold is a greater struggle. It’s hard to get motivated to get outdoors when it's 45 degrees, especially when there is wind.

There is a lot of benefit to getting outside and walking. I try to get in four miles a day on average. There are physical benefits as well as mental health and emotional benefits. I'll still get out there, but I am going to bitch and moan about how cold it is the whole time. That’s ok too though.
