Members of the team should keep up with the most recent advancements in cybersecurity, cybercrime patterns, and the emergence of emerging threats. This research can aid in the development of a disaster recovery plan that will act as ready advice in the worst-case situation as well as a security roadmap that will give direction for the company’s ongoing cybersecurity efforts.

Prevention

This step includes all actions taken to increase the difficulty of successful assaults, such as regular system maintenance and upgrades, firewall policy updates, vulnerability patches, whitelisting, blacklisting, and application security measures.

A day in the life of a Junior Security Analyst

Security analysts can help organisations defend their computer networks and systems. They run penetration testing, set up security programmes, and make security improvement suggestions. Security analysts also do trend research on IT security and offer guidance on security practises and tools to computer users. Almost every Junior (Associate) Security Analyst scans the tickets at the beginning of their shift to see whether any warnings have been generated.
