Day one of the no plastic challenge

The day went very smoothly. Mostly because I didn’t need to leave the house ;)

If every day was a pajama day plastic pollution would likely be much lower. We wouldn’t need plastic bottles for our water as we could just drink from the tap, no need to put a lid on our coffee to get from the kitchen to the sofa and we would only need plastic bags once we could no longer take the boredom and wanted to end it all.

I have been planning a little how I am going to get around certain things. I am going to need to buy more milk and orange juice soon and I have no idea where I can get these in glass bottles. Barilla pasta comes in cardboard boxes and I can get loose vegetables, which covers me for lunch and dinners. Breakfast cereal always has plastic wrapping on the inside, so I’m gonna need to be careful there. Fresh baked goods like bread and croissants often come in paper bags. Getting something to put in the bread might prove hard however, it’s all plastic jars, lids and even the contents sometimes.

So far so good, tomorrow the real challenge begins.
