When Smartphones came into the market we all had an impression it was priced high. Then it become affordable , Now 4G phones are available for even Rs 5000. If you think mass production is the only reason for the price dilution ,then you are wrong.

More major smart phone companies slow down your phones in the name of updates over the years ,which will eventually makes you to buy a new phone after a year or so.

They made us to use the smart phone by reducing the price , and make us buy again and again. Not only the updates will slow down your phone, the apps we download from play store which demands more RAM usage and many other factors too affects our phone over the years and make us to buy a new one over the years.

This is not the case with android phones alone. Recently Apple admitted that iPhone with older batteries will take a hits in performance. It says it urge people to upgrade to newer devices.

Initially 1 Gb RAM seems to be enough for our daily usage then we required 2GB, now minimum requirement is 3 GB . have you ever thought why we needed More RAM. This is majorly due to the amount of Apps we use and the amount of RAM consumption by the apps. So by 2020 our mobile phones will carry more RAM than our Laptops and Desktops.

The introduction of new technologies too will tempt you to upgrade your phones often. Technologies like OLED screen, Full HD display, Curved design, Finger print unlock , Face unlock, Selfie mode cameras. These are the tempting features which make us to think about a new phone .

So now we know why smart phone industry wont die.
